The company ‘Made in the Midlands’ specified TAURUS MAX commercial aluminium windows from ATB Systems to enhance security at its offices in Wolverhampton.
Despite being set in an office estate and overlooked by other buildings, Made in the Midlands had been targeted outside of normal working hours by thieves who managed to break in and steal thousands of pounds worth of computer equipment as well as causing extensive damage to the property.
From ATB’S TAURUS MAX range, Made in the Midlands chose to replace their original windows with a composite fixed light and drop back opening window incorporating our integral anti-vandal mesh. The drop back meshed window is one of the most secure aluminium windows on the market.
ATB’s unique glass protection mesh is ‘built in’ as part of the integral profile resulting in attractive clean lines, providing a visual yet discreet physical barrier whilst still permitting an excellent light transmittance of 60%. They should not to be confused with retro fit mesh screens that can restrict light and prevent the windows being opened for normal ventilation purposes.
Externally the windows at Made in the Midlands give the appearance of attractive bronze tinted glass, have fully functioning opening lights for ventilation and offer considerable protection against break in or vandal attack such as with an air rifle.
The unique combination of enhanced security but with visually attractive windows means that Made in the Midlands has managed to retain a pleasant working environment with the added protection that the location demands.
